Thomas Greene Wiggins
1849–1908
American musician and composer. Born blind and a slave, he continued in the service of his former owner even after emancipation, after being indentured and then legally declared non compos in court proceedings. Performed in concerts in North America and Europe. His compositions were only published in the latter half of the twentieth century.
