Frances Anna Maria (Fanny) Russell, Countess Russell (1841–1898)
1815–98
Scottish-born political hostess. Daughter of Gilbert Elliot Murray Kynynmound, second earl of Minto. Whig in politics, and Presbyterian, later Unitarian, in religion. Married Lord John Russell (from 1863 Earl Russell of Kingston Russell) in 1841. Resided at Pembroke Lodge in Richmond Park.
