Antun Bonagracija (Bonagracija) Marojević
1810–89
Dalmatian (Croatian) monk of the Franciscan order. Studied philosophy at the Istituto Filosofico at Split, 1832–3, and at the lyceum, Zadar, 1833–4. Studied theology, Archiepiscopal Seminary (Seminario archiepiscopali Jadrensi), Zadar, 1834–8, and received his diploma there in 1839. Priest, 1837. Bonagracija was the name given him on ordination. Elder (prior) of the Franciscan monastery at Lessina (Hvar), 1850–3. Assistant teacher, Scuola Elementare Maggiore, Lessina, 1839–51. Teacher in Split, 1851. Head of the state school in Lessina, 1855–76.
