Daughter of George Clayton Tennyson, rector of Somersby, Lincolnshire, and his wife, Elizabeth Fytche; sister of Alfred Tennyson. Engaged to Arthur Henry Hallam (1811–33), 1830–3. Married Captain Richard Jesse in 1842.
