John Gunn

Geologist, palaeontologist, and clergyman. Rural dean, vicar of Barton Turf, and rector of Irstead, Norfolk. Leading member of the Norfolk and Norwich Museum; one of the founders of the Norfolk and Norwich Archaeological Society, 1846; of the Norwich Geological Society, 1864; president, Norwich Geological Society, 1864–77 and 1883–8.
